Vincent Award #48: Cedric King

This week's Vincent Award goes to Cedric King. Cedric is a bilateral amputee and a Congressional Medal of Honor recipient. Cedric lost his legs after stepping on an IED in Afghanistan in 2012.

“My heart was saying, ‘Hey man, there’s so much good to give,’” King said. “‘If you can just get out of this hospital bed, you can probably be pretty inspiring to other people man. Keep fighting.’”

In April of this year he become the 1st bilateral amputee to complete the Boston Marathon and then more recently he completed a half Ironman in Augusta, Georgia (which is a 1.2 mile swim, a 56 mile bike ride and a 13.1 mile run). Amazing...
