This week's Vincent Award goes to Tim Durbin. Tim is the only American in the international competition called the World Marathon Challenge. Seven marathons in seven days on seven different continents.
"In the last 48 hours I've slept less than 9 hours and ran three marathons," he said in an email earlier this week. He said most of his sleep has been on the airplanes between cities with a few hours spent in hotels following the races. He did have one full night of rest after running in Chile and before heading to Miami.
Tim has one more marathon to go to complete the seven. As if this wasn't enough, Tim has an even bigger goal...to log enough miles to equal the distance around the equator of the Earth (24,901 miles) by walking, running, cross country skiing and swimming.
Nice job Tim! (he has since completed the 7 marathons since this story was published)
